LOCAL startup Horangi Cyber Security has been acquired by cybersecurity firm Bitdefender for an undisclosed price so that the latter can expand its unified risk and security analytics platform.
In a press release on Wednesday (Jun 28), Bitdefender said that it will incorporate Horangi’s Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM) and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) capabilities into its platform to add critical compliance and governance capabilities.
“Additionally, Horangi’s security services offerings, including proactive risk assessment, red teaming and penetration testing, will integrate with and complement Bitdefender Managed Detection & Response (MDR) services,” Bitdefender said.
Founded by former Palantir cybersecurity experts Paul Hadjy and Lee Sult in 2016, Horangi has raised funds from private equity and venture capital firms such as South-east Asia-focused Provident Growth, Monk’s Hill Ventures and Right Click Capital.
It has also worked with over 200 customers, including Gojek, Ninja Van, ShopBack and PropertyGuru.
