Take a step back to the 70s, a time before hawker centers dominated the scene. A time when the founder Mr. Sim Heng Hung’s dad decided to start something special – a humble Mian Chiang Kueh (pancake) stall. It wasn’t just about flipping pancakes; it was about hustling to make ends meet in an era where every sale mattered.

Fast forward to now, and the bakery is a cornerstone of tradition. But getting here wasn’t a piece of cake. When change came knocking – Sim Heng Hung led the charge. Being the first to set up shop in the Sims Vista Market & Food Centre, they have never looked back since.

But what makes the enterprise stand out isn’t just their knack for baking. It’s their dedication to keeping the spirit of old-school treats alive. Step into their kitchen, and you’ll find ingredients handpicked with care, ensuring each bite is a taste of nostalgia.

But the mission goes beyond just satisfying cravings. The ongoing mission is to introduce the next generation to the wonders of traditional pastries.

Come discover the delicious and genuine taste of yesteryears

Next time you find yourself in Singapore craving a slice of tradition, swing by HUNG HUAT CAKES & PASTRIES.  Every day at Hung Huat Cakes & Pastries, the aroma of freshly baked Tau Sar Piah fills the air. Stamped with the bakery’s signature mark their flaky crusts cradle either sweet or salted mung bean fillings.

But the spotlight truly shines on their Teochew Crispy Yam mooncake, a timeless favorite showcasing Hung Huat’s dedication to tradition. Crafted with two types of dough they boast a layered, flaky crust. With each bite, the exterior crumbles to reveal a luscious yam paste filling made from real yam.

The mooncake range also includes flavors like Pure Lotus, Blue Pea, Durian Lotus, Green Tea Lotus, and Red Bean. For those seeking traditional Teochew treats, they also offer Black Sesame Mochi, a rarity in today’s market.

For a bite-sized delight, their Mini Snowskin Mooncakes are a hit. Flavors like Mango Lotus, Cranberry Lotus, and Pure Lotus with Yolk offer a burst of flavor in every bite.

But Hung Huat isn’t just about mooncakes. Their array of classic treats includes green pea cookies for a savory-sweet indulgence, Danish Butter Cookies with a hint of salt, and crunchy Almond Cookies loaded with almond bits.

For those craving something fruity, their Pineapple Tarts made from homemade pineapple paste are a must-try. Or perhaps indulge in the Pandan Ondeh with its burst of gula Melaka, the Pumpkin Kueh filled with red bean, or the Homemade Prawn Rolls and Seaweed Flakes for a savory twist.

Growing not just in number of customers served but also with the delightful flavors and innovative presentation

Sim Heng Hung’s enterprise, with a sweet start in the year 1976, from its modest beginnings, has not just thrived, but evolved into a culinary destination of popular choice. With each passing year its presence in the city of Singapore has only been growing stronger.

While the exact number of customers it has served remains a sweet mystery, there’s no denying the buzz that surrounds this brand during the festive frenzy of Chinese New Year and the mystical allure of the autumn festival. Beyond mere celebration, the enterprise also shares a rapport with a many leading corporates too.

In a world buzzing with trends, HUNG HUAT CAKES & PASTRIES is the ultimate taste trendsetter. They’re not just baking pastries; they’re crafting experiences that spark joy and excitement with every bite.

With a knack for staying ahead of the curve, HUNG HUAT CAKES & PASTRIES keeps things fresh with innovative packaging and mouthwatering flavor fusions that make taste buds dance. But it doesn’t stop there. Their dreams of expansion and perfection fuel their passion, ensuring that every treat they create is an indulgent masterpiece,
