We’re huge fans of this indie plant store. You’ll find everything from monstera deliciosa and lucky clover plant to money tree and aloe vera here. Not only that, but the artisanal pots are equally pretty. You can also get tools, bug busters and plant nutrition products all at once. Oh, and keep an eye out for new plants every so often.

The selection for houseplants is expectedly vast and even includes pretty pots in a variety of colours. Prefer function over fashion? For low-maintenance plants that don’t need much attention, choose an air plant. Also known as tillandsia, these get their nutrients from the air and don’t require soil to grow. Watering is easy. Experts recommend soaking your plant in room temperature water every 10 to 14 days, gently shaking off the excess water, and leaving it to air dry. You can also shop for cactus and succulents, or accessories to care for your air plants.
Pick a Plant, 50 Old Choa Chu Kang Road, Track 14, Singapore 698940; also available online
