In the bustling cityscape of Singapore, amidst towering skyscrapers and bustling streets, lies a cosy haven dedicated to the joy of reading – Little Book Mart. Founded by Cheryl, a devoted mother-of-two and seasoned educator, this homegrown gem aims to fill a crucial gap in the local market for affordable, curated children’s books.

Unearthing Literary Treasures.

At Little Book Mart, shelves are adorned with treasures imported exclusively from the literary realms of the US, UK, and Canada. Each title is meticulously hand-picked, ensuring both quality and uniqueness. By eschewing mainstream selections in favor of exclusive and intriguing titles, Little Book Mart offers a refreshing departure from the ordinary.

Here, amidst the pages of enchanting tales and vibrant illustrations, lies a world where imagination knows no bounds. The bookstore’s dedication to sourcing limited quantities of books ensures that each title becomes a precious gem waiting to be discovered. Gone are the days of predictable reads; instead, parents are invited to explore the realms of literature that promise to captivate young hearts and minds.

Empowering Young Minds Through Personalized Reading.

Rather than adhering to rigid age recommendations, Little Book Mart embraces a personalized approach to reading. Recognizing that every child progresses at their own pace, parents are empowered to select titles that best suit their child’s individual needs and interests. Cheryl and her team understand that children outgrow books as quickly as they outgrow clothes, and thus, they encourage parents to replenish their child’s literary repertoire with the same diligence as their wardrobe.

Moreover, the absence of age tags on the books encourages parents to engage with their children, fostering a deeper connection and understanding of their reading preferences. With guidance readily available from Cheryl and her team, families can embark on a journey tailored to their child’s unique literary journey.

To keep things economical in the current financial climate and assure parents of the quality and selection of books, Little Book Mart offers monthly book subscription which consists of 4 new-in titles from $30/month (the cheapest in SG and available in 3, 6 and 12 months). They also curate regular boxes (as gifts/ for personal use) in sets of 4 as well.

Little Book Mart is more than just a bookstore – it is a sanctuary where the seeds of curiosity are sown, and the flames of imagination are ignited. With each page turned, a new world unfolds, inviting children to embark on adventures limited only by the bounds of their imagination.
