The Inspiration Behind cl-air

The inspiration behind cl-air® stems from a simple yet urgent vision: that everyone has the right to clean air. The founders recognized that most people spend a significant amount of their time indoors, where air quality is often compromised by pollutants such as formaldehyde. In Singapore, where there were limited options to effectively address this issue, cl-air® saw a gap in the market.

Many homeowners attempted makeshift solutions, such as using charcoal or even bread, to reduce indoor pollutants. However, these methods were ineffective and lacked long-term benefits. With this in mind, cl-air® set out to develop a proper solution, backed by rigorous research and development, to combat formaldehyde and other harmful indoor air pollutants.

cl-air® sources its components from mainly Europe and Japan, focusing on innovation and quality. The company’s goal is not only to meet market needs but also to provide sustainable, scientifically-backed answers to air pollution, ensuring a safer living environment for homeowners.

Overcoming Challenges

Developing air purification products that are both effective and sustainable is no easy task. One of the major challenges cl-air® faced was balancing the need for sustainability with cost and durability. While the company aims to reduce plastic usage in its products, completely eliminating plastic would raise production costs and potentially affect product longevity.

This trade-off is a challenge cl-air® is still navigating as they work toward more eco-friendly solutions. Despite these challenges, cl-air® remains committed to sustainability, continuously exploring ways to reduce the environmental impact of their products without compromising their efficiency. As a brand, cl-air® believes that achieving long-term sustainability is possible through consistent innovation and product development.

The Science Behind cl-air

At the core of cl-air®’s product line is its innovative air purification technology, specifically designed to address formaldehyde, a common indoor pollutant. Their first product , “AirShield”, employs a potassium compound to oxidize and break down formaldehyde, representing a more advanced approach than traditional activated carbon, which only reduces odors. This proprietary technology, developed by cl-air®’s technical team and tested in Singapore, ensures superior air purification.

Their second product, the “QuickSpray,” is a plant-based amino acid solution that allows customers to reduce formaldehyde in their homes without requiring professional service. Safe for skin contact and children, this spray provides a convenient and user-friendly option for homeowners. Both products reflect cl-air®’s commitment to providing innovative solutions for improving indoor air quality effectively.

Future Innovations and Expansion Plans

cl-air® may be a young company, but its ambitions are broad. Having recently launched their second product, the team is now focused on expanding their product line to address other indoor air pollutants such as carbon dioxide, humidity, and PM 2.5 particles. Recognizing that formaldehyde is only one aspect of indoor air quality, cl-air® plans to introduce a comprehensive range of products to create healthier living spaces.

With the rise of smart homes and the increased use of indoor heating appliances, cl-air® is looking to develop solutions that target the emissions produced by these devices. Their long-term vision includes addressing humidity control and reducing airborne particles that can cause respiratory issues. As they continue to innovate, cl-air® is poised to become a leader in the indoor air purification market, dedicated to making clean air accessible to everyone.
